Welcome back from the Holiday Break

What's the News?

The Flexible Computer Learning Centre (FCLC) is soon to be opened. The work has been completed and we now await the software to be uploaded onto the computers.

What's happening?

If you are interested in being a part of a small working group for this project focusing on the Management of the FCLC, please contact me by the end of this week (ending 22nd July) This focus group will develop and make recommendations for the operational side of the FCLC. (eg. day to day running of the FCLC)

When is the next meeting?

Our next meeting will be Tuesday 26th July in the Meeting Room, Ground Floor, E Block at Bankstown. At this meeting we have a guest speaker from Sydney Institute who will talk about their experiences operating a FCLC. A few years ago SI had a similar Learnscope project and will hopefully give us some ideas on how we can use the FCLC to its full potential. Don't forget we will be having some yummy afternoon tea. Please RSVP by 22nd July so we can organise the catering.

What can I do?

By now you should have completed your Individual Action Plans through http://flexways.flexiblelearning.net.au/If you have any difficulties with this please contact me.

There are some more modules added to our BL@B site. On the left hand side of the message centre there is a section called Study groups. Click On BL@B and this will take you to the learning materials.

This week:
1. Preparing for Elearning: This is a module that can be attched to any course. It is a self paced course that can be used as an introduction to online learning. Have a look and think how it might be used in your area.
